Cowdry Park residents are facing  water crises and they have resorted to installing community water tapes on their own, this comes after the Bulawayo suburb has been extended to more houses and people have already moved to the new finished and unfinished houses. this new Cowdry park residents struggle with water and electricity as the resources are still scarce  as the rest of Zimbabwe and using underground water for gardening and washing has become the norm for this masses

A group of women cordially form a restaurant in Luveve and they only use green energy to cut costs in their line of business. Moreover, they are not affected  by the load shading as the electricity cuts do not apply to their situation. This story gives their account of events.

Many youths in Zimbabwe prefer or, are forced by  stiff University entry conditions set by local Universities in order for one to qualify to study with the institutions and this has seen a number of youths choosing to study outside the country  in countries like South Africa, Zambia and Europe, and this is the account of some of the young people back in Zimbabwe.

Youth engage in Cowdry Park through study groups initiative during holidays, this study groups are mostly facilitated by University students that form them and this is  what they call holiday extra lesson for secondary students, this increase and promote reading habits for the youths. The facilitator of this Cowdry Park initiative confesses to making money over it as the country is facing some economic challenges. And aslo to help increase studying habits for their brothers and sisters. This has also saw the turn up of school leavers to try their second chance.

Few residents burn tires and collect wire to neat Mash wire to sell around the neighborhood in Cowdry Park. This Mash wire is used by people for different purposes, creating pigeon nest and feeding room, others also use it to fence their garden to prevent chickens from eating their vegetables. this hand work has help these residents earn a living.

Residents in Cowdry Park are using underground water from the sewage trench that the City Council is digging in their neighborhood. These residents are facing water crises as this suburb is under construction to extend it.these people are  still using community tapes that the council has strategically mounted in certain point around Cowdry Park but the need for water is still satisfied.

This is the time when i found out that some times you have to film without planning to, in that self same time and the device have to be armed to film at all times.this  is why I made a picture story for this tragic event that happen over night in Bulawayo.

A warehouse in Bulawayo along Lobengula street burns down to ashes and a number of Bulawayo vendors lose their thousand of dollars stock piles in just one night. the cause of the fire is unknown and  the mystery is on what caused the fire and why the security guard was on leave that  same night.

A deep look into 12 or 16 years consenting to marriage or sex through the opinions of Laws and Non Governmental Organisation in Bulawayo. recently they have been an uproar in the press about the issue and the discussion about the the loop holes that  the new Zimbabwean constitution is leaving about the age of consent and at what age a person might get married. a discussion about Advocate Tomana's sentiments takes place at Presbyterian church in Bulawayo.

A new extension hood in Cowdry park is Under development and the residents the are facing a power challenge as the is no supply of electricity and it has become a blessing in disguise as the local have devoted to selling Lp gas and using it for cooking as it is convenient and efficient  to use. A resident gives the account of her story.

MY first mobile editing experience

My first mobile story filmed,edited and produced using the MotoG 2nd generation using storymaker mobile application a few months ago was a bit tiresome as the application kept on crashing and I was still a amateur myself about mobile filming, editing and story making.This is made possible by an initiative called the Mobile Community Zimbabwe which in fact is Her Zimbabwe project.

THE STORY

Cowdry park residents crash rocks and stones to earn a living, this business strategy comes about after the high density suburb is being extended and people need quarry for footing in their new houses under construction. This  kind of work is being done by male and females, adults and kids. the City council tries by all means to stop this production through  Rangers that take away tools that this people are using but the locals find a way to continue with their production.
